What does life look like?

What does it really look like to be a mom of three who’s running an online business, let’s get into the messy.

I’m Angela and we help normal moms and dads chase after their big dreams and a modern online, all while in the midst of raising kids in what we call the family hustle.

The Family Hustle · EP 59: My Messy Motherhood: Behind the Scenes of Life as a Work from Home Mom

No pretty edited photos here.

So I could share these beautifully edited pictures of my children all smiling at my feet, you know, maybe even I’m sitting at my computer desk and everything is clean, but real life talk, I want to share with you what my life really looks like.

As part of this community – I want us to build and share here with the family hustle is I want us to be real about the family hustle.

Building a business and being a mom is not all butterflies and rainbows.

You don’t always have smiling children who are grateful for all the sacrifices that you have made to your body to your finances to your schedule. So that’s what I want to talk about today.

So, if you follow me on Facebook, we had a baby, about a year and a half ago – he was a Caboose, kind of a surprise for our little family.

Our girls are nine and almost seven, plus we have a one and a half year old. There’s a lot of struggle having those three different ages.

Right now, my toddler has been getting into everything and he’s starting to throw tantrums when he doesn’t get his way. #thestruggleisreal

He also wants to be held and just wants to be on top of me all the time.

My older girls are very very good at helping me entertain him, but that has been a huge struggle for me right now. When I’m ready to time block and get some work done… and he wants to be with me… it creates tension.

We’re also homeschooling parents. We will do it together. And right now, managing the kids and just making sure that they’re on top of everything, keeping them on task, while having a toddler it is just kind of insanity.

I want to get honest and say, I don’t have all the answers where it comes with creating a balance as a mom and a business owner.

Creating Balance: that’s actually a topic that a lot of people are talking about. Is it possible?

Is Balance really possible?

Is balance and motherhood even a thing? like is that possible??

I’ve heard “harmony” is actually something that’s more attainable.

What does that look like?

Getting to a place where you feel like in alignment with where you are you know you feel like there’s a harmony between being a mom and being a business owner and being a driven person.

There has to be some sort of harmony between the two sides, and maybe it’s not so much of a balance because things in life are hardly ever in balance.

Do you believe that there can be balanced in motherhood and running a business?? or is it more of an ebb and flow??

There are cycles in our life where we have to focus more on being a mom – like whenever I had my baby. I had a newborn and it consumed my nights and my days. There was no balance

I was probably 99% focused on this new little baby who was crying and wanted to be held all the time.

What does it look like with the chaos of being a mom and the crazy of wanting to build a business?

I just wanted to share with you. This is like a really real episode and this is very vulnerable for me because I don’t like to show what the messy looks like.

My kids are wearing pajamas right now and it’s almost two o’clock.

I have dirty dishes in the sink and my kids playroom is a complete disaster, haha.

And it’s okay. Our life isn’t perfect. That’s what this episode is about.

This is the behind the scenes look right now, all about what’s going on, in the middle of May 2020. We’ve got kind of some craziness going on in the world right now. And so my neat and perfect bow on top of my life… just doesn’t look the same as it did maybe even a year ago or two years ago.

I just wanted to say, we’re in it together.

I think that so many more women should hear that the person on the other side of the screen is probably going through the same things as you.

We’re all here supporting each other and encouraging each other to stay focused on your dream as you focus on the impact that you can make even though it doesn’t look like the perfect picture in the magazine right now.

But if you can focus, each day on one area that you want to focus on, you will make progress and you will reach your goals.

If you’re living this messy motherhood of life and you’re in the midst of the family hustle, just I wanted you to know, you’re not alone and we’re all here working together.
