But if you are doing keto… you want something just as yummy, but without all the carbs.

Yes! This is a very versatile recipe that you can double if you want to make one to eat that day and freeze the second one. Any left overs you have reheat really easily too, so it is perfect for busy families who may be eating at different times too.

Keto Cheeseburger Casserole with Ground Beef

There are lots of Keto Friendly and Low Carb Cheeseburger Casseroles out there. I particularly like this one because it doesn’t use cream cheese. This casserole also uses ground beef which makes it really easy to mix together. The combination of heavy whipping cream, tomato paste, seasoning and eggs make up the base which it topped with shredded cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

2 pounds of ground beef

1 diced onion

2 garlic cloves

salt and pepper to taste

8 eggs

1 cup of heavy whipping cream

1 6oz can of tomato paste

salt and pepper to taste

1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

In a medium hot skillet, brown your ground beef in about a tablespoon of oil. Cook garlic and onion until onion is clear. Season with salt and pepper.

Spread meat mixture in a 9×13 baking pan.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a mixing bowl, add eggs, cream, tomato paste, cheese and seasoning.

Pour over meat mixture.

Top with about 1/2 cup of shredded cheese.

Bake for 30 minutes.

You can top your low carb cheeseburger casserole with avocado, tomatoes, pickles – anything you like!

  1. Hey Angela! You and your husband have actually been to a pool party at my house in Carlyss, LA. you were pregnant at the time. I tried to download the Keto intermittent fasting and was led to your site but couldn’t find it at all. I just started a lemon Keto drink mix that’s supposed to last for 15 servings. I have Keto coffee as well. I think I’d benefit from it. 🙂 Kathy Thompson

    • Hey Denise! As you’ve probably seen on the blog I tend not to count calories especially, but I only consider the others by order of magnitude (so 1 carb vs 10 carbs vs 100 carbs, etc). So I haven’t every calculated these for this recipes or most of the ones on the blog. If you do your own calculation I’d love to see it!
